FINANCE MANAGER

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role of Assistant Finance Manager is a key member of the finance team supporting the business.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

  • Day to day management of the finance function, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in an accurate & timely manner
  • Preparation of weekly MI reporting with analysis and commentary
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including profit & loss, balance sheet and other internal reporting requirements with variance analysis
  • Credit Control, ensuring debtor days are minimised
  • Provide relevant financial information to the Senior team include income & expenditure & cash flow forecasts
  • Support Finance and Operational Managers in understanding individual & team profitability
  • Provide ad hoc reporting & analysis as required
  • Review key risks and anticipate potential risks arising from new strategies and external factors
  • Responsible for ensuring financial controls are robust & appropriate & in keeping with company policies
  • Assist with other areas of the business as required.
  • Credit control
  • Run commission statements
  • Communicate sales figures & targets to team
  • Accurately update CRM
  • Client utility audit - responsible for identifying, negotiating and recovering overcharging from suppliers
  • Invoice validation & query resolution
  • Create & tailor bespoke consumption reports with management information for clients
  • Business Plans

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

  • Qualified or training towards relevant Accounting Qualification (AAT / CIMA)
  • Experience in similar role
  • Good understanding of Accounting frameworks, policies & procedures
  • Strong all-round accounts experience including month end processes, sales & purchase ledgers, credit control, reporting & analysis
  • Influence business decision by demonstrating a detailed understanding of financial expectations
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels across the business and with all stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of using MS Excel & Sage 50
  • Organised & efficient with excellent attention to detail & the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Salary: £35,000.00 to £45,000.00 /year

CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned customers
  • Answer client queries
  • Improve total client experience by building strong, long lasting relationships
  • Manage multiple accounts at one time whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Interact with Account Managers and support their client activity requests
  • Escalate client issues/requests as necessary
  • Tender energy services for clients
  • Examine bids from energy providers to minimise client’s energy costs
  • Dealing with queries and resolving issues linked to supply contracts
  • Eye for detail to detect inaccuracies in calculations and billing information
  • Accurately update CRM
  • Administer and maintain client records for COT’s, MOP’s, AMR installation dates and Rebates
